After nearly 19 years of operating what has been in the main a wonderful and hugely rewarding business, we have taken the decision, partly due to health issues, to retire and will be closing the business on July 18th, after which it will be converted to provide a home where we can care for our elderly parents.

Little did we know that, back in 2008, when we decided to allow Flippers a few hours to run their swim school from our private pool, it would lead to eight different swim schools operating from here seven days a week, introducing their customers to the world of water whilst using their individual and amazing skills to teach thousands of local babies, toddlers, children and adults the essential life skill of swimming.

During this time, we have been so fortunate to have met and worked alongside so many wonderful people and wish to thank them all for their essential contribution to Croft House Pool’s success.

In particular, we would like to thank Flippers, who have been with us from the start of this journey, and Narelle and Kim of Turtle Tots, who have been a joy to work with, especially over the last two years when they undertook the entire running of the pool during Daryl’s ill health.

Should anyone out there be thinking of letting their pool to a swim school in a similar way to that which we did, Narelle and Kim come highly recommended.

Alas, all good things come to an end, and time, as they say, waits for no one. So, as life moves on, we would just like to say to everyone who has ever been part of Croft House Pool’s success and, not least, all of those who have ever swum in it:
